Inkfetish in Japan: Painting in Chibi »
After much worry regarding whether or not I’d be able to paint a wall during my trip, I finally met ‘Ima One’, and extremely talented artist who I’d spoken to previously on the net via mutual friends. After checking out his new solo show, we made a plan to spend my final day in Japan travelling to Chiba, 2 hours outside of Tokyo to paint an amazing spot organised by graffiti bomber ‘GKQ’ who joined us for the session…
I thought it’d be cool to paint something inspired by the movie ‘Tekkonkinkreet’ (not the first time), given the fact that due to my friend Aya I had a chance brief meeting with the director of the movie- that and the fact that I spent half my trip searching for Tekkonkinkreet merchandise.
